Whitehall, completed in 1902, is the Gilded Age estate of Henry Morrison Flagler, one of the founders of Standard Oil and the Florida East Coast Railway. Whitehall is now a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public as the Flagler Museum. The Museum features tours, changing exhibits and special programs year round and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm.
The Norton Museum of Art features a number of exhibits, each divided geographically. There is a French collection that highlights the works of such artists as Degas, Picasso, Matisse, and Renoir, a Chinese collection that boasts more than 200 bronzes, as well as jades and Buddhist sculptures, and an American gallery that features the work of Jackson Pollock and Georgia O'Keefe.
